Maryland Temporarily Waives IFTA for Port Truckers

In a letter dated April 1, 2024, Comptroller Brooke Lierman announced that she was authorizing a temporary waiver of certain International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA) requirements in Maryland to mitigate the economic impact of the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse.

As of March 30, 2024, 12:01 am and through May 31, 2024, at 11:59 pm, Maryland will waive IFTA licensing and decal requirements for motor carriers hauling freight to or from a seaport.
