Major Detour Starts September 12 Near Harper’s Ferry.

On September 12, West Virginia will begin a project to address safety issues associated with rock-falls along US 340 at the convergence of the Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia state lines near Harper’s Ferry. The road will be closed for three months. A detour has been laid out that will add 22 miles and 35 minutes of travel time.
