Weather Related Emergency Declarations!

In response to the winter weather, both FMCSA and the Maryland Department of Transportation have issued Emergency Declarations related to the transport of various products. 

FMCSA Declaration of Regional Emergency - FMCSA's Emergency Declaration provides for regulatory relief from Parts 390 to 399 from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations for commercial motor vehicle operations while providing direct assistance supporting emergency relief efforts transporting people, supplies, goods, equipment, heating fuels (propane, natural gas, heating oil), and other fuel products into numerous affected states.  Please read the declaration carefully.  A copy is at www.mdtrucking.org/files/FMCSAEmergency021721.pdfThis declaration is currently in effect.

Maryland Waiver for Transportation of Fuel - Maryland has issued a similar 5-day waiver for the period beginning 2/19/21 through 2/23/21 for the transportation of all fuels throughout the state.  A copy is at www.mdtrucking.org/files/MarylandWavier021921.pdf.

Please note that Maryland's declaration is usurped by the Federal declaration noted above.
