Hazardous Materials Training

PLACE: MMTA Office *** 9256 Bendix Road, Suite 203, Columbia, MD 21045

TIME: 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

COST: $160 – members; $350 for non-members

Description:  Under 49 CFR § 172.704, hazardous materials employees are required to go through recurrent training every three years. This training covers all mandatory subjects, including general awareness, function specific training, safety training and security awareness.  Attendees will be given a 25 question test for which an 80% or better grade will indicate successful completion of the course.  Attendees scoring an 80% or better will get a certificate of completion. If a student does not pass the test, they will get a certificate of attendance.

Summary: 

DOT regulations require ALL supervisors of drivers to be trained in drug and alcohol testing rules. 

This seminar meets all DOT training requirements!  It includes all materials and covers pertinent rules such as: how to make a reasonable suspicion judgment, developing company policies, responding to positive tests, return-to-duty procedures and SAP requirements.
